Rivers Angels have concluded plans to unveil their new head coach, Tosan Blankson, ahead of the new Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, season.
The unveiling ceremony will take place on at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Elekahia on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the club will also introduce the players and the new jerseys for the season to the fans at the event.
The General Manager of the club Mrs Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha emphasized the significance of connecting with supporters and showcasing the team that will represent Rivers State in the new season.
“This is a new chapter for Rivers Angels. We want our supporters to meet the players who will proudly wear the badge of Rivers State as the league begins on January 15th,” she stated in a statement.
“We deeply appreciate our fans and urge them to attend in large numbers on Sunday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium. This unveiling is for them, and we look forward to celebrating with them at the stadium.”
Rivers Angels will battle with Ibom Angels in their opening fixture of the new season at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The new season will commence on Saturday, January 15th.
