Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has named Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi as the best player ever in football.
Dembélé spoke ahead of PSG’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final second-leg tie with Aston Villa on Tuesday.
The Frenchman and Messi were former teammates during their time together at Barcelona.
Speaking at his pre-match interview ahead of PSG’s clash with Aston Villa at Villa Park, Dembélé said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “I love playing for this PSG team, it’s a pleasure. Best team ever for me? I don’t know, as I also played at Barça with Messi who’s the best player ever.”
Dembélé has been impressive for PSG so far this season.
He recently led Luis Enrique’s side to win the French Ligue 1 title.
