Transfer: ‘I can’t see him’ – Emile Heskey on Cristiano Ronaldo return to Europe

Former Liverpool star, Emile Heskey, has said that world football icon, Cristiano Ronaldo, must not return to Europe.

This is amid uncertainty over the 39-year-old’s future at his Saudi Super League side, Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo is in the final six months of his contract with Al Nassr, and rumors suggest that the Portuguese is looking for a new challenge.

Some reports have claimed that the greatest goal scorer could be heading to French giants, Paris Saint-Germain, PSG.

However, Heskey does not see it happening, citing Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah as an example.

With the Egyptian’s contract also coming to an end at Anfield in the summer, it seems as though the winger is struggling to get a new deal.

Despite Sala’s brilliant performances for Liverpool this season, the Egyptian is struggling to get a new deal.

In an interview with Instant Casino, Heskey said, “I can’t see him coming back to Europe unless someone thinks it’s more of a commercial deal than anything else.

“Coming back to Europe, players who are 30 and doing really well are struggling to get new contracts, Mo Salah being the biggest name, so I don’t think he’ll come back to Europe.

“But I still think he could do a job, absolutely.”

Ronaldo left Manchester United for Al-Nassr in January 2023 after having his contracted mutual terminated at Old Trafford.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus man has played 83 matches across competitions for the Saudi side, bagging 74 goals and 18 assists.
