Home Eagles to camp outside Nigeria for CHAN 2024

The home-based Super Eagles will camp outside the country ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau, disclosed this in a chat with the media.

Gusau believes that the move will aid the team’s performance in the tournament.

He assured that all hands are on deck for the federation to get the team in top shape for the competition.

The competition, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, will run from February 1, 2025, to February 28, 2025.

“We deliberately want them to have a place where they can be fully camped and settled without any distractions. They will spend about two weeks there, after which we will arrange for a foreign camping venue where they can play quality friendly matches before moving to the venue of the tournament,” Gusau stated.

“So, we are very much aware of our responsibilities and will give them the preparations they deserve.”
