Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has claimed that his players are asking for new signings amid their miserable run of form.
The Premier League champions were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton on Boxing Day.
Iliman Ndiaye cancelled out Bernardo Silva’s early strike at The Etihad and Erling Haaland had a second half penalty saved by Jordan Pickford.
City’s shocking run now stretches to one win in 13 matches.
“If we can, we have to add players in January, definitely,” Guardiola said.
“I think even the players asked ourselves … we are going to add some players?! Please!
“The winter (window) is not easy. We have to add some players but we have to bring players for the next three, four, five years – and that is not easy.”
