The investigation and enforcement team of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered counterfeit medicines worth N300m during a raid at the Tyre Village Trade Fair in Lagos State.

NAFDAC revealed this on Thursday via its social media handle on X, formerly twitter.

The agency said the operation led to the seizure of fake pharmaceuticals, including Amoxicillin 500mg, Ampicloxa capsules 500mg, and packaging materials for Augmentin capsules 625mg.

NAFDAC added that the illegal products have been evacuated while a suspect involved was invited for questioning by the police.

The agency urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious products and activities to its nearest office.
