Gregory University Condemns Killing Of Chinese In Abia Community

The management of Gregory University Uturu, Abia State, has reassured the public of its commitment to campus safety following the tragic killing of two Chinese nationals and a police officer at Amaya Ndundu autonomous community, located in Isuikwuato Local Government Area (LGA) of Abia State.

The tragic event has sent fear to members of the local community and beyond.

In a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar for Communication, Sleek Ogwo, the university condemned the heinous act and called upon security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation.

The institution emphasised the urgent need to apprehend those responsible and ensure they face the full weight of justice.

On the safety of students and staff, the university management provided assurances to the public, especially parents and guardians.

The statement added that the security of the university community remains a top priority.

The management appealed to the general public to remain calm and support law enforcement authorities in their efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
