Morocco’s Ismael Saibari continued his remarkable 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign on Wednesday, scoring against Haiti to become the first Moroccan player to find the net in three consecutive World Cup matches.

The 25-year-old also became the first African footballer to score in each of his first three appearances at the tournament.

Saibari reached the milestone in first-half stoppage time, scoring Morocco’s second equalizer during a dramatic Group C encounter in Atlanta.

No Moroccan player had previously scored in three consecutive World Cup games.

Meanwhile the North Africans initially struggled against Haiti, having to come from behind twice to get in at half-time level. But goals from Achraf Hakimi, substitutes Soufiane Rahimi and Gessime Yassine won them the game.

Brazil beat Scotland 3-0 in the other Group C match to win the group with Vinicius Jnr scoring twice in the first half while Matheus Cunha put the icing on the cake on the hour mark.
