Benson Ojeikere Appointed As New Head Of Service In Abia State

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, has approved the appointment of Mr. Benson Ojeikere as the new Head of Service for the Abia State Civil Service.
This was announced in a press release issued on Monday, by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu.
The appointment, which is based on a rigorous merit-based selection process, will take effect on December 31.
In the statement, Prof. Kalu congratulated Mr. Ojeikere on his new role and highlighted the governor’s appreciation for the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Ngozi Queen Obioma, who is retiring after years of dedicated service.
“His Excellency equally appreciates the immense contributions of the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Ngozi Queen Obioma, who is proceeding on statutory retirement,” the release noted.
Dr. Alex Otti’s administration continues to prioritize competence and dedication in the state’s leadership appointments as part of efforts to enhance the civil service’s efficiency and performance.
