Andre Onana planning to return to pre-season with Manchester United

Andre Onana is planning to return to pre-season with Manchester United when his loan spell at Trabzonspor ends.

Onana has spent the current campaign on loan in Turkey after being informed that he no longer featured in the club’s plans last summer. The Cameroon international made 33 appearances for the Turkish side, but a permanent deal is uncertain.

Trabzonspor are exploring a deal to sign Onana permanently, but the player’s wages and asking price could hinder hopes.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Onana is relaxed about his future. The goalkeeper is planning to return to Manchester United for pre-season while his future is clarified. Despite interest from Onana is regaining a place in the club’s plans, United remain keen to offload the 30-year-old.

With Senne Lammens impressing during his debut campaign at Old Trafford, United do not see a route back into the first-team picture for Onana, who endured two error-prone campaigns with the club.
