Former Real Madrid star, Guti, has slammed Barcelona youngster, Lamine Yamal, for his choice of attire during his press conference for the Spanish national team.
The 17-year-old wore a hat which he turned backwards to the press briefing.
Spain reached this year’s UEFA Nations League final with Yamal playing an integral part.
The final game between the Euro 2024 champions and Portugal ended in a 2-2 draw, with Roberto Martinez’s side claiming a 5-3 win on penalties.
Yamal scored three goals in seven appearances for Spain in the tournament.
Guti, a former Los Blancos’ midfielder, told El Chiringuito TV how much he disliked Yamal’s choice of attire for his press conference.
He said, “I didn’t like Lamine Yamal going to the press conference with his hat turned backwards. You do these things on vacation or in your personal life, not with the club or the national team.
“It’s not his fault. It’s the fault of the people standing next to him who don’t say ‘no way’. It’s not Lamine’s fault, he ultimately does what he wants.”
Yamal helped Barcelona to win the LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España this season.
However, he could not help Spain lift the UEFA Nations League against Portugal as Nuno Mendes who kept him quiet for the entire game.
