Arsenal have announced that forward Marquinhos has left the club to Brazilian club Cruzeiro on a permanent deal.
The Premier League North London made this known in a post via their website on Sunday.
The 22-year-old had joined Mikel Arteta’s side from Sao Paulo in June 2022.
Marquinhos made six appearances across competitions for Arsenal and spent time on loan at Fluminense, Norwich City, Nantes and Cruzeiro during his time with the Gunners
“Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Marquinhos for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future,” Arsenal’s statement partly read.
Meanwhile, in another development, Barcelona have confirmed that they have terminated the contract of defender Clément Lenglet.
In a statement via their website, the Catalan club also wished Lenglet all the best for the future.
Lenglet joined the Blaugrana in 2018 from LaLiga side Sevilla and went on to make 160 appearances for the Catalan club.
He also scored seven goals and provided three assists for Barca.
