Super Eagles: NFF unveils Eric Chelle in Abuja

Eric Chelle was on Monday unveiled as the new head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, DAILY POST reports.

The unveiling ceremony took place at media conference room of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

Chelle’s appointment was confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, last week Tuesday.

The former Mali international is the 42nd substantive head coach of the Super Eagles.

The 47-year-old has been tasked with reviving Nigeria ‘s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying hopes.

The Super Eagles are yet to record a win in the qualifiers and sit in fifth position in Group C with three points from four games.

Chelle will lead the home-based Super Eagles at the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN.
