NWFL: Edo Queens will fight to retain title — Aduku

Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku believes his team will be the target of opposition at the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, Super Six playoff tournament.

Aduku opined that their exploit at last year’s competition makes his team a force to be reckon with.

Edo Queens won the NWFL Super Six playoff tournament last year in Yenagoa.

They also reached the semi-finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League last season.

“So far so good after 14 NWFL matches we won 11 with two draws and one defeat, the players and the management have done a wonderful job so far in the regular season,” Aduku stated in a press briefing.

“We have gone half way with the most important one, the Super Six competition, the tournament will be tough and the pressure will be on me, everybody will want to pull down Edo Queens.

“I and the players are ready and we will approach the tournament with a mindset of retaining the cup.”
