Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United is set to be crowned the top scorer of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and will receive a N3.6 million cash prize, courtesy of Eunisell, West Africa’s leading specialty chemicals and oilfield solutions company.

Yusuf netted 18 goals this season, securing his place at the summit of the NPFL goals chart and earning the prestigious Eunisell Boot Award, which places a N200,000 value on every goal scored.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in GRA Ikeja, Lagos.

Launched in 2018, the Eunisell Boot Award has become one of Nigerian football’s most respected individual honors.

It not only spotlights exceptional goal scorers but also aims to boost the profile of domestic league players.

Past winners include standout performers like Junior Lokosa, Sunusi Ibrahim, Mfon Udoh, Israel Abia and Chijioke Akuneto.

With this achievement, Yusuf becomes the second Nasarawa United player, after Sunusi Ibrahim in 2019, to receive the award, solidifying the club’s reputation for producing prolific forwards.

Group Managing Director of Eunisell, Chika Ikenga, praised Yusuf’s performance and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to promoting excellence in Nigerian football.

“At Eunisell, we reward hard work, excellence, and talent. The Eunisell Boot is not just a trophy, it’s a symbol of belief in Nigerian football.

“Celebrating Anas Yusuf’s 18 goals shows what’s possible when potential is nurtured,” Ikenga said.

As Eunisell marks a decade of involvement in Nigerian football, including its ongoing sponsorship of Abia Warriors since 2015, this year’s award takes on added significance.

“We’re proud to celebrate 10 years of impact in the Nigerian game. Recognizing players like Yusuf shows our belief in the future of local football,” Ikenga added.

Yusuf’s 2024/25 campaign has drawn widespread attention, with analysts and fans praising his consistency, sharp finishing, and work ethic.

His landmark season has not only brought pride to Nasarawa United but also caught the eyes of scouts both locally and abroad.
