Finidi George is delighted with Rivers United’s promising start to the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The former Super Eagles head coach has guided the Port Harcourt club to three wins and one draw in four outings.

Finidi masterminded Rivers United’s lastest victory over his former club, Enyimba on Sunday night.

The Pride of Rivers defeated the nine-time NPFL champions 2-0 to move to second position on the log behind Remo Stars.

“We are quite happy with our run in the League even if not 100%

perfect,” Finidi told Sports Boom.

“Every game is difficult in the NPFL people don’t know. They just feel

that if you get a draw, you would have won it.”
