NPFL: Finidi downplays Rivers United’s win at Nasarawa

Rivers United head coach, Finidi George, has refused to attach any importance to the team’s away victory against Lobi Stars.

The Port Harcourt club defeated their hosts 1-0 at the Lafia City Stadium on Saturday.

Kabiru Abdullahi scored the winning goal for the visitors 18 minutes from time.

“Every victory, we will take it. It’s just a game. This is nothing. We have to go back and prepare for the next game. That’s the philosophy,” Finidi said after the game.

The gaffer said she is looking forward to their next game against his former club, Enyimba.

“We are playing against Enyimba, and it’s going to be a difficult game. We just have to enjoy this victory. It’s not easy to come here and pick three points. I must commend the boys for the effort,” Finidi added.
