22 contestants, 10 weeks, unlimited talent: De9jaspirit Talent Hunt Season 4 begins

After months of anticipation, the wait is finally over as De9jaspirit Talent Hunt (DTH) sets the stage for the biggest showdown of talent in Africa. After completing its first-ever campus tour, DTH is ready to launch Season 4, which is packed with exciting rewards you simply cannot afford to miss. These rewards are available for both contestants and subscribers alike.

DTH features contestants with different talents ranging from singing, contortion, spoken word, poetry, dance, comedy, dramatic monologues, magic, miming, and more. With its rich track record, the show has consistently brought raw African creativity to the international limelight.

Season 1 marked the beginning of what has now become Africa’s biggest talent show, which attracted nationwide attention. The show lasted for 7 days and saw the emergence of Miss Constance Olatunde (Konstance), a singer who won the ₦10 Million cash prize and eventually made her mark in the Afrobeats and contemporary R&B scene. The Chrysolite Dance Crew and Ikebudu Emmanuel, a comedian, emerged as runners-up with ₦3 Million and ₦2 Million prizes respectively.

Season 2 grew even bigger, offering a ₦7 Million cash prize and an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai and Kenya. Esther Ugochi Kalu (Ugee Royalty), a gospel artist, took first place and went on to release her own gospel track. Spoken word artist Ibquake and comedian Masterseb also emerged as winners, walking away with ₦3 Million and ₦2 Million respectively.

By Season 3, DTH had become a continental force, earning recognition across Africa and beyond. That season was won by Exoduz Dance Crew, who walked away with ₦10 Million, a brand-new car, and an all-expenses-paid trip to Kenya and the Maldives. The presence of 6-year-old Chikambo Obioma was particularly unforgettable, capturing international attention. Runners-up Mollythevibe and Promise Effiong, both singers, also earned prizes of ₦3 Million and ₦2 Million.
For Season 4, DTH decided to do things differently. From July 9 to July 18, 2025, the show embarked on its first Campus Tour, taking its search for young talents directly to Nigerian universities. Stops included the University of Port Harcourt, University of Benin, University of Abuja, University of Lagos, and IMT Enugu.

Unlike previous years where contestants had to pay to register, the Campus Tour abolished registration fees, opening doors for more inclusive participation. Contestants simply had to post a one-minute performance video on social media and tag DTH, while the best performers were invited to perform live on their campuses. This groundbreaking approach ensured that talent was not limited by age, registration fees, or background.

From this process, 22 of Nigeria’s brightest and boldest talents were selected to compete in Season 4.

This year’s contestants reflect the diversity of African talent. Chris Vic, a gospel singer with a powerful voice, will go head-to-head with versatile vocalists like Glory Henry, T-Jay (Tuoyo John), BigSøma (Anih Favour Nmeasoma), Blessed Ikpi (Ekubi Blessed Ikpi), Paskal (Chukwu Paschal Ebube), Lexi (Favour Aguiyi), and Hailwin (Helen Godwin).

The spoken word scene is equally strong with performers like The Global Poet (Deborah Johnson), Isime Precious (Aigbogun Precious Isimeme), Neji Irregular (John Momnang Neji), and Loveth Liberty, who are all ready to move hearts with their words.

Comedy promises to light up the stage with talents like Da Messenger (Emmanuel God’srich Chinaza) and MC Olaks (Olarotimi Victor), while Phoenix the Magician (Edidiong Sunday Ibitt) is set to dazzle audiences with mind-bending illusions.

The dance floor will be electrified by powerhouse crews such as Kidsteppers, Team Unbeatables, The Elite Kings Dance Crew International, KSS Dance Crew, and Cloud 9 Dancers, all bringing unmatched energy and choreography.

Season 4 also welcomes the jaw-dropping contortionist Body Engine (Fidel Walter) and the soulful saxophonist Jeremiah Fjsax (Jeremiah Oluwajenyo), adding a unique flair to this year’s competition.

Together, these 22 contestants represent the heartbeat of DTH—raw, diverse, and world-class talent.

The Season 4 winner will take home a massive ₦30 Million cash prize, while the first runner-up will claim ₦7 Million, and the second runner-up ₦3 Million. Each week, the best performer will also win ₦500,000, keeping the competition fierce and rewarding.

To guide the journey, an incredible judging panel has been assembled: Liquorose, the BB Naija star and video vixen; Vector, the iconic rapper and songwriter; Ini Edo, Nollywood’s celebrated actress; and IK Ogbonna, the popular actor and TV personality. Holding it all together will be the host, ‘The Captain’ VJ Adams.

The show will run from September 7 to November 9, 2025. Weekly episodes will air on Soundcity TV (DSTV Channel 327 and GOTV Channel 21) every Tuesday at 8 PM and on Africa Magic Family (DSTV Channel 21 and GOTV Channel 7) every Saturday at 6 PM. Live shows will also be streamed on the DTH App every Sunday from 7 PM, where subscribers on the ₦5,000 or ₦10,000 plans can vote, stream, and participate in fun game activities to win exciting rewards.

For 10 thrilling weeks, these 22 contestants will be coached, challenged, and transformed as they compete for glory. Viewers can expect laughter, inspiration, awe, and unforgettable entertainment as Africa’s biggest talent hunt raises the bar once again.
