Real Madrid legend, Luka Modric has named Paris Saint-Germain’s Vitinha as the current best midfielder in the world.
According to Modric, he likes the Paris Saint-Germain star because he is a game organizer.
“Vitinha is one of the best, if not the best, midfielders. The other day, when he came on at halftime, he once again made a big difference,” Modric was quoted by Madrid Xtra as saying (via Nova TV).
“I think he had a phenomenal season, he’s the kind of player who helps the team play better.
“I really like him as a player. He had a phenomenal season. He helps the team play better, he’s a game organizer and he’s indispensable to the team.
“He showed that in the Champions League and with the national team. In my opinion, he was perhaps the best midfielder last season. He’s excellent on the ball, I really like him.”
Vitinha won the UEFA Champions League, French Cup and Ligue 1 title with the Parisians last season.
The 25-year-old also won the UEFA Nations League trophy with Portugal on Sunday in Munich after Portugal defeated Spain 5-3 on penalty shoot-out following a 2-2 draw in the final.
