Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson has named the striker his old club should sign in the summer transfer window.
According to Merson, Arsenal will ‘win the Premier League by 10 points’ next season if they sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
This comes after Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions on Sunday.
The Reds thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 to clinch a 20th English league title.
However, Arsenal will have to settle for a third successive second-place finish in the Premier League table.
Mikel Arteta’s men are currently in the runners-up position on 67 points with five points ahead of third-placed Newcastle United with four matches to play.
“Alexander Isak is expected to attract interest from a few clubs this summer,” Merson told Sportskeeda.
“I think Isak surely wants to be involved in the [UEFA] Champions League next season and that could play a key role here.
“Arsenal seem like the best possible move for him if he leaves Newcastle though. If the Gunners get him, they will win the league by 10 points,” he said.
