Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has hailed Rwandan defender, Ange Mutsinzi following Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier 2-0 win on Friday.

The Galatasaray star described Mutsinzi as a great guy, adding that he spoke with the Zira FK player at length.

Osimhen said this when asked by a Rwanda journalist at the Amahoro Stadium why he choosed to give Mutsinzi his jersey.

Osimhen responded, “He is a great guy, we met after the first leg when we played goalless.

“We spoke at length. I saw him again at the airport when we were travelling back to our clubs.

“He is a cool guy, a top guy and also a great defender. I wish him all the best.”

Osimhen scored the two goals for Nigeria against Rwanda.

The result moved the Super Eagles to 4th position in the Group C table.

Chelle’s side will clash with Zimbabwe on Tuesday in their next World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
