Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has described the death of the Emir of Gudi, Alhaji Isa Bunuwa Madugu Ibn Khaji, as a great loss to the people of the state and Nigeria in general.

Buni made this statement shortly after attending the funeral prayer of the late monarch, held in Gadaka town, Fune Local Government Area.

“Life comes from God, and unto Him it returns. The passing away of the late Emir is a great loss not only to his immediate family or people of Gudi Emirate, but to the entire people of the state and Nigeria in general,” he said.

Buni condoled with the late monarch’s immediate family and the people of the Gudi Emirate Council over the great loss.

“One lesson we must all learn is that the falling of the yellow leaf is a warning to the green ones.

“We must all take solace in the fact that death is inevitable. It shall come when it will. We are all on transit. When and how are in the hand of Allah (SWT),” Buni said.

The governor prayed for the repose of the departed soul.

The late 19th Emir of Gudi, Alhaji Isa Bunuwa Madugu Ibn Khaji, died at the age of 79 and is survived by four wives.
