Uzodimma Rallies Support For New Ohanaeze President General

The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma has called on all well meaning Igbo sons and daughters to rally support for the new leadership of Ohanaeze Ndi’Igbo Worldwide.

The governor made the recommendation when the newly elected President General of Ohanaeze Ndi’Igbo Worldwide, Senator John Azuta-Mbata and members of his cabinet paid him a courtesy visit in Owerri the Imo State capital.

He revealed that part of the discussion centered on strategic ideas to move the Igbo nation forward, ensuring peace, Unity and progress as the pillar of development in the region and therefore called on all Igbo sons and daughters to give in their maximum support for the new leadership.

He said: “The newly elected leadership of Ohanaeze Ndi’Igbo Worldwide, led by President General Senator John Azuta-Mbata, paid a courtesy visit as part of its efforts to engage stakeholders in advancing the Igbo cause.

“During the visit, our discussions centered on strategic ideas to move the Igbo nation forward, emphasizing unity and progress.

“I expressed deep appreciation to the immediate past President General, Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu, for his exemplary leadership, which culminated in a credible election process and the seamless inauguration of the new Ohanaeze administration.

“Therefore, I call on all sons and daughters of Igboland to rally behind the new leadership, stressing that their support is pivotal in achieving a prosperous and united Igbo nation.”

Senator John Azuta-Mbata, a former senator representing Rivers East at the National Assembly was elected President General of Ohanaeze Ndi’Igbo Worldwide on Friday.

He was elected after the turn of Imo State expired.
