Transfer: Real reason Rodrygo’s move to Arsenal collapsed

Real Madrid winger, Rodrgyo Goes, originally wanted to join Arsenal this summer.

According to ESPN Brazil, Rodrygo is set to leave the LaLiga giants and has his mind set on moving to the Premier League.

Although the 24-year-old would have preferred to sign for Arsenal, the move is no longer likely to happen.

This is because Rodrygo’s wage demands are too high for the Gunners.

Rodrygo could, however, still end up playing in England’s top flight as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are keen.

Madrid have already signed Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, Álvaro Carreras and 17-year-old Franco Mastantuono this summer.

These transfers has left them with 25 senior players and a need to offload several names.
