Transfer: I can’t have Isak in my team, it’s clear – Newcastle boss, Howe

Newcastle boss, Eddie Howe, has said that he cannot have Alexander Isak in his squad for now over the player’s transfer saga.

The Sweden International is keen on joining Liverpool this summer and the Reds maintain their focus on the striker for the final weeks of the summer window.

The striker had already involved the Newcastle United hierarchy in his intention to join Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool are ready to submit their new proposal if Newcastle open doors to the move.

Isak maintains his position that he does not want to play or stay at Newcastle again and wants to join Liverpool.

Addressing the press on Friday as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Howe said, “It’s clear at the moment we can’t have Isak involved with the group.

“He is here, so of course he has a future at Newcastle. From our persecutive, we would love to have him back with the team, but the situation has to be right for that to happen”.
