Transfer: Chelsea striker to join EPL rivals after being frozen out by Maresca

Chelsea striker Armando Broja is set to join Ipswich Town on a season-long deal.

The deal will have a mandatory option to buy at the end of this season.

Broja is one of the players that new manager Enzo Maresca has frozen out.

However, he is set to continue playing in the Premier League with the Tractor Boys.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Broja’s medicals with Ipswich have been booked already.

Romano wrote on X: ” Ipswich Town are finalising deal to sign Armando Broja with medical tests booked!

“Season-long loan from Chelsea, salary covered…understand clubs are now discussing a buy clause that could also be mandatory.

“Deal almost closed, as @Stuart_Watson says.

“Here we go, soon.”
