Transfer: Arsenal withdraw from Rodrygo, target two EPL players

Arsenal have moved away from Real Madrid’s Rodrygo as they focus on signing Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze and Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon, according to Diario AS.

Rodrygo has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and other clubs in Europe.

But Rodrygo has no interest in joining Tottenham despite reports linking him with a move to the Premier League club.

The Brazilian international is aiming for a bigger club than Spurs if he leaves Real Madrid this summer.

Rodrygo was among three players the Los Blancos are open to sell this summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old wants guarantee from Madrid manager Xabi Alonso that he would get more regular playing time in the new season.

Rodrygo didn’t play regularly for Alonso’s side during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which was won by Chelsea.
