US military in Nigeria

By Enitan Abdultawab

Understanding military strength is more than comparing army sizes. It involves personnel, defence budgets, equipment and strategic capabilities.

Through consistent defence spending, nuclear deterrence systems, and the development of cutting-edge weapons, the top five nations, led by the United States, Russia, and China, continue to set themselves apart. Strong air superiority platforms, cutting-edge naval fleets, foreign bases, and quickly developing cyber and space defence forces are all part of their military infrastructures.

The rankings emphasise the significance of highly skilled staff, strategic alliances, and coordinated defence cooperation in sustaining global influence, in addition to weapons. These elements strengthen global military footprints and allow for quick reactions to new threats.
