Tinubu’s Economic Policies Harsh But Good For Nigerians, Says Orji Kalu

The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu says President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies are harsh to Nigerians but insists that it is for the good interest of the country.

The former Abia state Governor disclosed this in Maryland, United State in a video clip he posted on Facebook, where he reacted to rumours circulating about Tinubu’s health, in which it was alleged that the Nigerian President was hospitalized in London.

Senator Kalu claimed that the President was only tired and needed some rest, refuting the rumors of the ailing president being rushed to an undisclosed private hospital in London, United Kingdom.

“Anybody can be sick, anybody can feel not going out, I think the President felt he wasn’t going out. I want the politicians to stop carrying these rumours. We need to be a collective people to work together to fix our economy,” Senator Kalu said.

While speaking on President Tinubu’s controversial economic policies, Kalu admitted the President’s policies are indeed harsh on the people, but maintained that the President is on track and knows what he is doing. He appealed to Nigerians to be patient, manage life and avoid unnecessary complaints.

“President Tinubu is on track. I’m here, I have spoken to congressmen, I have spoken to the IMF, I have spoken to people in the World Bank.

“Honestly, President Tinubu and his economic policies are very harsh to Nigerians and the President knows people are suffering and he sympathizes with them everyday even when he speaks to me. He told me that his heart is to Nigerians,” the APC Senator added.

Kalu urged Nigerians to be patient, stating that the current challenges facing the country “is a necessary pearl that we must swallow.”
