Shettima, APC Celebrate Remi Tinubu At 65

Vice President Kashim Shettima has described the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday, as a symbol of strength, compassion and exemplary service to the nation.
In a statement titled “Celebrating 65 Years of Grace, Service and Compassion”, the Vice President hailed the First Lady’s impact on the nation and her support for President Bola Tinubu.
“Sixty-five might be a figure, but to us it is a reflection of countless years of brilliant motherhood, exemplary service to nationhood, and a reflection of the brilliance, compassion, and unwavering support that a First Lady can provide to her husband and an entire nation,” Shettima said.
He praised her as a unifying figure whose Renewed Hope Initiative has touched millions of lives across the country.
“Your sense of unity and upliftment of humanity is legendary. You have touched millions of lives through your Renewed Hope Initiative, which reverberates across the nation,” he noted.
According to Shettima, Senator Oluremi’s commitment to women’s empowerment, youth development, education, and support for the needy has left an enduring legacy.
“Indeed, when the history of this great nation and, in particular, President Tinubu’s administration is written, your name will be inscribed in gold,” he said.
The Vice President prayed for her continued joy, peace and fulfilment, stating that she is “not just a First Lady but a symbol of womanhood, strength, and compassion.”
Similarly, the All Progressives Congress (APC) joined in celebrating Senator Oluremi and described her as a steadfast pillar of support to President Tinubu and a “true mother of the nation”, a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, noted.
“From Mr President’s days as a pro-democracy activist, as Governor of Lagos State, and now as President, the First Lady has remained an inestimable treasure of support and a dependable ally, for which our nation is thankful,” the statement read.
The ruling party lauded Senator Oluremi’s devotion as a Christian, public servant, philanthropist, and astute politician whose numerous projects and initiatives have touched countless lives.
Among them are the Renewed Hope Initiative and the New Era Foundation, through which she has provided scholarships, healthcare support, empowerment for women and youths, and welfare for senior citizens, widows, and other vulnerable Nigerians.
APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, members of the National Working Committee, and millions of party members across the country joined the First Family in celebrating the First Lady, whom they described as “a true mother of the nation”.
The party prayed for her continued strength and grace in service to the nation. “We pray to God to grant her excellent health, strength, grace and wisdom in her continued devoted service to family, country and humanity,” Morka added.
