PDP fixes date to elect new party executives in 13 states

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released a timetable for its 2025 party congresses, which will take place in 13 states.

This was contained in a timetable shared by the party’s National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature on X on Friday

According to the statement, the election of new party executives at ward, local government, and state levels will begin in September.

The affected states are Adamawa, Borno, Edo, Kebbi, Kwara, Ondo, Oyo, Kogi, Lagos, Niger, Plateau, and Cross River.

The process will start with a membership registration drive for both new and old members from Friday, August 1 to Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Sale of nomination and ad-hoc forms will follow from Monday, August 18 to Friday, August 29.

“This is to enable all intending aspirants the opportunity to purchase nomination forms. Submission of forms by aspirants will close on Friday, September 5,” the post added.

It added that; “The ward congresses to elect ward executives and three ad-hoc delegates are scheduled for Saturday, September 13, while appeals from these congresses will be handled on Wednesday, September 17.

“The local government congresses will hold on Saturday, September 20 to elect LGA executives and national delegates. Any appeals from the LGA congresses will be considered on Wednesday, September 24.

“The state congresses, which will produce the new state executives, are scheduled for Saturday, September 27.”

The post further revealed that th we Appeals related to the state congresses will be taken on Wednesday, September 30.
