Okogbuo Hails Wogu, Others On South-East Devt Commission Appointments
The Director General of the Abia Rejoice Movement and former Minority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly, Honorable Chibuzo Okogbuo, has congratulated Ex-minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Emeka Wogu, Hon. Stanley Ohazuruka, and Chief Daniel Akwari on their appointments as Governing Board Chairman and members of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) by President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Okogbuo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighted that Dr. Wogu’s appointment reflects his exemplary leadership and dedication to public service.
The former lawmaker expressed confidence in the ex-Minister’s ability to provide exceptional guidance and foster growth in his new role.
Okogbuo also remarked that Ohazuruka’s appointment as Board Director of Finance of the SEDC is a testament to his remarkable financial and managerial expertise. He expressed optimism that the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly would bring the same level of excellence to his new position, ensuring fiscal responsibility and progress.
Addressing Chief Daniel Akwari, Okogbuo stated, “Dear Chief Akwari, as you assume your role as Board Member, representing the good people of Abia State, may your wealth of experience and wisdom continue to drive positive change and inspire growth in the commission and the state.
“These appointments are not only a personal triumph for each of you, but also a victory for Ndi Abia. I wish you all the best as you embark on this new chapter of service to our nation, and I look forward to seeing the incredible impacts of your services as the pioneer management team.”
Okogbuo also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for their support in facilitating the appointments of these distinguished Abians to the Governing Board of the South East Development Commission.
