Transfer: Chelsea confirm signing of Sarr as Man City goalkeeper leaves Guardiola’s side
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Mamadou Sarr from French Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg.
Sarr signed a contract with the Premier League west London club that will see him remain at Stamford Bridge until 2033.
The 19-year-old was a regular player for Strasbourg during the 2024/2025 season.
The defender also played a key role in the French side qualifying for European football next season as he made 28 appearances in all competitions for the team.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Manchester City confirmed that their goalkeeper, Scott Carson, will leave Pep Guardiola’s side when his contract expires this summer.
The 39-year-old has been at City since 2019, acting as a valued part of the goalkeeping unit under manager Guardiola.
He initially arrived on loan at Etihad before completing a free transfer in the summer of 2021.
He made his debut for City in their victory against Newcastle United in May 2021 before a second appearance in the Champions League round of 16 second leg with Sporting CP in 2021/22.
“Everyone at Manchester City would like to thank Scott for his hard work and dedication and wish him the very best of luck for the future,” City’s statement read in part on Monday.
