NPFL: Akwa United boss Babaganaru reveals target ahead pre-season tourney

Akwa United Technical Adviser, Mohammed Babaganaru, has said building understanding and team cohesion will be the key area to work on during the pre-season tournament in Yenagoa.

The tournament will start on Monday (today) and will end on Sunday, August 18.

All the matches will be played at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.

“To be honest, we won’t really be looking at results but the understanding and team cohesion in real match situation will be our major concerns here in Yenagoa,” Babaganaru told the clubs media.

“When we achieve what we want from this tournament, it will help us to build a formidable team as we plan for the new season.

“This is indeed a good opportunity for me and my technical team to properly look at the team we have on ground ahead of the new season.

“We have brought in some fresh legs into the team and we are willing to give them opportunity in this pre-season tournament to prove to us that they are ready to play for this club.”
