The Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his commitment towards enhancing the quality of education in the state.

Governor Uba Sani, who stated this when the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, paid him a courtesy visit in his office, wrote on his verified Facebook page:

“I was honoured to host the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, and his management team at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, where I presented land allocation papers for staff housing in Sabon Gari and Chikun LGAs.

“This step underscores our commitment to enhancing staff welfare, boosting morale, and supporting ABU in fulfilling its enormous responsibilities.

“While expressing their gratitude for the support of the Kaduna State Government, the Vice Chancellor and his team commended our administration’s strides in education, agriculture, transportation, and inclusive governance.

“They noted that our governance style, which gives every citizen a sense of belonging, has become a case study in ABU faculties as a model for Nigeria’s democratic future.

“They further commended our efforts in tackling insecurity and making Kaduna safe and conducive for all, while pledging ABU’s readiness to partner with our government in delivering the dividends of democracy to the good people of Kaduna State.

“I reiterated that education remains the cornerstone of our transformation agenda. We have backed this commitment with action by increasing education’s share of the state budget to 26.14% in 2025, constructing 62 new schools, building and renovating over 1,700 classrooms, reducing tuition fees for state-owned tertiary institutions by 50%, and commissioning three of the largest and well-equipped vocational and skills development institutes in Nigeria.

“I also emphasized Kaduna State’s readiness to work with ABU in expanding technical skills training while reaffirming our continued support for the University as a centre of excellence and a national treasure.”
