FCT Police To Fish Out Officers Who Shot Motorist’s Tyres In Kubwa

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command on Sunday said it would identify and hold accountable the officers who shot a motorist’s tyres during a stop-and-search operation along the phase 4, bridge in Kubwa.

In a video seen by THE WHISTLER, the male victim confronted uniformed officers for allegedly shooting at his tyres after he failed to tip them.

One officer, seen holding a brown Android device, stood beside an ash-coloured GLK Benz while a man dressed in a black shirt, white trousers, and a black cap removed the tyres.

The motorist questioned the officer’s actions and decried the treatment of young men by armed personnel in the area.

He said, “You are buying all my tyres, I will go naked for you and you will know that you met a madman. Why will police stop and search and then shoot at me? You people will not let young boys be in this Kubwa.

“Why will you shoot at my tyres, you are buying all my tyres,” he continued.

Speaking to THE WHISTLER, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the command is making efforts to identify the officers involved.

Adeh told THE WHISTLER correspondent, “We will locate them and investigate. The outcome will definitely be shared”.

“Meanwhile, the individual can reach us for more details via 08107314192” she noted.
