Former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, has commended Governor Alex Otti and his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, over what he described as infrastructure revolution in the state. The former lawmaker, specifically described as “unbelievable development” in his native Amaekpu Ohafia community, and the changes being experienced in Abia.
In a public statement laced with emotion and admiration, Uchendu expressed what he called “deep gratitude and joy,” saying that the roads and infrastructure now present in his community were things many never believed would happen in their lifetime.
Uchendu who had since defected to the All Progressive Congress APC from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP disclosed that the level of development in the state under Governor Otti is truly beyond words.
He appreciated the Deputy Governor Engr Ikechukwu Emetu for giving Amaekpu Ohafia his home town a new look,nothing that he has have proven to be a “talk and do” leader, and confessed that the people are proud of him.
He wrote, “I write with deep gratitude and joy in my heart to sincerely thank His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti and his hardworking Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, for the incredible transformation taking place in my community, Amaekpu Ohafia.
“What many of us never believed would happen in our lifetime has become a reality, good roads, even deep inside our community! The level of development is truly beyond words.
“To our dear Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, I say a very special thank you. You have given Amaekpu Ohafia a new look, one we now wear with great pride.
“You have proven to be a ‘talk and do’ leader, and your people are proud of you. You have written your name in gold in the hearts of your community.
“To Dr. Alex Otti, I must confess: I do not need anything from you, not even if you stay eight years in the office. But I cannot keep quiet seeing the good you have done in my community.
“I must say a big thank you! And if there were a word greater than ‘thank you’, I would surely say it.
“You have found a gem in your Deputy Governor, and you are indeed lucky to be working with such a young, visionary, and vibrant man.
“May God continue to bless you both, grant you wisdom, strength, and good health to carry Abia State to greater heights.
“May peace, prosperity, and progress never depart from our state. We are proud of you. Keep up the good work”, he concluded.
