Edo Guber: Edo Deputy Governor Shaibu, Oshiomhole Clinch LG For APC

The reinstated Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu and former Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, who’s a senator representing Edo North, have clinched the Estako West Local Government for the All Progressives Congress in the 2024 governorship election.

Etsako West Local Government is home to both Shaibu and Oshiomhole.

The governorship candidate of the APC, Monday Okpebholo, polled 32,107 to defeat his Peoples Democratic Party counterpart, Asue Ighodalo, who got 17,483.

Shaibu rejoined the APC after a difficult time with Governor Godwin Obaseki, who anointed Ighodalo despite Shaibu’s repeated attempts to clinch PDP’s governorship ticket.
