Rivers United captain Temple Emekayi has declared the team’s readiness for the CAF Champions League tie against FC Les Aigles du Congo of Democratic Republic of Congo, DAILY POST reports.

The preliminary round first leg fixture will hold at the Stade des Martyrs, Kinshaha on Saturday.

Finidi George’s side arrived Kinshaha for the game on Thursday, and held their first training session on Friday afternoon.

Rivers United are in confident mood going into the game after their unbeaten start in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, this season.

Emekayi stated that the players are motivated to beat their hosts.

“We are fully prepared and motivated, and we will give it our all on Saturday to make sure we don’t disappoint our fans,” he told the club’s media.

The encounter will kick-off at 3:30 pm.
