Bauchi: PDP lacks direction, APC will take over in 2027 – Sabo Muhammad
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress , APC, in Bauchi State, Comrade Sabo Muhammad, has claimed that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, lacks direction in the state.
Speaking at a reception organized in his honour by the Shehu Buba Vanguard on Wednesday, Muhammad dismissed the PDP’s perceived strength, asserting that the APC is well-positioned to reclaim power in the 2027 general elections.
He attributed the PDP’s shortcomings to what he described as the absence of a credible candidate capable of challenging the APC.
“The PDP lacks direction in terms of having a credible candidate that can match ours,” he said.
Muhammad stressed the importance of unity and internal cohesion within the APC, saying the party already has a strong and widely accepted candidate who understands the political terrain of the state.
He also revealed that the party is leveraging all available resources and strategic opportunities to secure victory in 2027.
Recently appointed as a new media aide to the senator representing Bauchi South, Senator Shehu Buba, Muhammad disclosed that a comprehensive media blueprint has been developed to promote the APC’s candidate and drive a unified campaign message.
He called for cooperation among party members, urging them to work together toward achieving their collective goals.
In his remarks, the Director General of the Shehu Buba Vanguard, Ishaq Dabo, said the reception was held to celebrate Muhammad’s appointment and to reaffirm support for Senator Shehu Buba’s 2027 governorship ambition.
Dabo described Buba as the ideal candidate to fly the APC’s flag, citing his track record and influence.
“He has brought employment opportunities, empowered our youth, and facilitated the renovation and construction of primary schools and healthcare facilities. For the first time in Bauchi State, he also facilitated the construction of a tiled road,” Dabo said.
He said Senator Buba’s performance and legacy projects make him a sellable candidate ahead of the next general elections.
