Abia Assembly Lawmaker Denies Speaker’s Impeachment Claims

Lucky Johnson, the member representing Isuikwuato Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has refuted claims that the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa is facing impeachment.
Reacting to reports circulating on social media, Johnson described the allegations as baseless and aimed at misleading the public.
Speaking to journalists in Umuahia on Wednesday, the lawmaker, who belongs to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dismissed suggestions of a face-off between Speaker Emeruwa and Governor Alex Otti as unfounded.
“Let it be categorically stated that there is no plan to impeach the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa,” Johnson declared.
He urged residents of Abia State to disregard the rumours, emphasizing the need to focus on issues that promote unity and development. Johnson also assured that a cordial relationship exists between the Speaker and other members of the Assembly.
