Newcastle United are open to selling another high-profile name this summer, despite the £69m exit of Anthony Gordon for Barcelona.
Sandro Tonali, Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento are all considered options to leave as the Magpies look to remain compliant with the Premier League’s new financial rules.
The Premier League has introduced Squad Cost Ratio for 2026/27, replacing Profit and Sustainability (PSR), a financial regulation used in football that limits how much a club can spend on its playing squad (player and head coach wages, transfer amortisation, and agent fees) as a percentage of its football-related revenue.
As a result, The Chronicle are reporting that Newcastle are ready to sell another big name to improve their financial position to operate. Eddie Howe’s side will miss out on the additional revenue of European football next season, and further sales could be sanctioned.
Hall is attracting interest from Manchester United, while Livramento has been a long-term target for Manchester City.
Tonali has also been subject of interest from various clubs, with initial interest expressed in January. Newcastle have placed a £100m price tag on the midfielder. None of the trio are actively pushing to leave, but will consider a transfer should Newcastle need to bring in more revenue.
