Man Utd release flop Sancho as Premier League retained lists published.

Man Utd have released Jadon Sancho as Premier League clubs published their retained lists this week.

Jancho will leave Old Trafford when his contract expires at the end of this month, as will Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia after their departures were already confirmed.

The winger joined Man Utd from Borussia Dortmund in a blockbuster move worth a reported £73 million in 2021, but he never made an impact on the pitch for the club. He has spent the last two seasons out on loan, spending time at Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa, with whom he won the UEFA Europa League this past season.

Academy players Sonny Aljofree, James Bailey and Malachi Sharpe have also been let go, while Dermot Mee has been offered a contract by the Red Devils.

Sancho is not the only high-profile player to be released, as Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah are all departing Liverpool.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have released four players, including Michael Olise’s brother Richard. Sam Rak-Sakyi, Brodi Hughes and Jimi Tauriainen have also been let go.

Yves Bissouma will leave Spurs, who have handed a new deal to veteran defender Ben Davies.

Relegated Wolves have re-signed Raul Jimenez after he was released by Fulham. The club confirmed that Harry Wilson, who has been linked with Leeds United and Aston Villa, has been offered a new contract.

Goalkeeper Illan Meslier will leave Leeds after seven seasons at Elland Road. The Whites remain in discussions with Sam Byram, Alex Cairns and Karl Darlow, who has been linked with a move to Man Utd.

Sunderland have released Dan Neil, Dennis Cirkin, Bertrand Traore and Niall Huggins, while Angus Gunn, Stefan Ortega and Willy Boly have all been released by Nottingham Forest. Lorenzo Lucca will return to parent club Napoli after Forest decided not to turn his loan move into a permanent transfer.

Kieran Trippier has signed for Wolves after leaving Newcastle United. Goalkeepers John Ruddy and Max Thompson are also moving on, as are Emil Krafth and Matt Targett. Aaron Ramsdale will return to parent club Southampton at the end of his loan deal.

Adama Traore will leave West Ham United just six months after joining the club. Lukasz Fabianski will also depart after eight years with the Hammers.
