Inter Miami are optimistic about confirming the signing of Casemiro before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Major League Soccer side are pushing to secure a deal for Casemiro, who will leave Manchester United as a free agent when his contract expires this summer.
The 34-year-old will play his final game for Manchester United at Brighton this weekend, before heading to the World Cup with Brazil.
Inter Miami have been working to secure his signature, amid competition from Saudi Arabia, Brazil and European clubs. It’s understood that Casemiro is open to the prospect of an MLS move, with the opportunity to play alongside Lionel Messi in Miami an appeal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, there is optimism from all parties that a deal can be done before this summer’s World Cup. Brazil face Panama in their first warm-up friendly on May 31st, before facing Egypt a week later.
The five-time world champions begin their World Cup campaign against Morocco on June 13th.
