Gary Neville names ‘dream’ and ‘realistic’ Man United signings
Gary Neville has said Manchester United need to sign a centre-back and two midfielders this summer, outlining his ‘dream’ and ‘realistic’ options.
Manchester United are closing in on Champions League qualification and need two points from their final three games to qualify.
The Red Devils are expected to invest in the summer and Neville has outlined where he feels the squad needs strengthening.
The former Manchester United captain has said two midfielders and a centre-back should be the priority positions.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Neville named Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson as his ‘realistic’ options. He also champions a move for Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa to upgrade at centre-back.
“A top centre-half and two good midfield players. That’s what this squad needs right now. To be fair, it probably does need other things after that,” he said.
Dream world, it would be Marquinhos, Rice and Kane. Realistic, I’m going Tonali, Elliot Anderson and I’m going Konsa.”
