Fulham vs Brighton – Predicted lineup and team news
Fulham host Brighton & Hove Albion at Craven Cottage on Saturday while they aim to exploit their visitors’ poor record in West London.
The Cottagers have moved back to home soil following a snapping of their six-game unbeaten run last weekend. Manager Marco Silva will be confident, given Brighton have never won at the Cottage in the Premier League era. A victory could see Fulham climb as high as sixth place in the table. To achieve this, they must overcome the loss of a key midfielder while integrating returning international stars.
Fulham Team News
Marco Silva manages a squad that is both depleted by injury and bolstered by returning talent. Notably, Saša Lukić is unavailable for the next five weeks due to a hamstring problem. Kenny Tete has returned to training, but Saša Lukić and Rodrigo Muniz remain out. Consequently, Silva is expected to hand immediate recalls to Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey following their return from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Bernd Leno will likely continue in goal behind a defence that has kept Brighton at bay in previous meetings. In midfield, Sander Berge is likely to be joined by Iwobi in a slightly deeper role to cover for Lukić. Raúl Jiménez is expected to lead the attack once again. All five of the striker’s league goals this season have put Fulham into the lead. Samuel Chukwueze could also feature from the start to provide extra pace on the wing.
Fulham Predicted Lineup
Fulham predicted XI: Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Cuenca, Robinson; Berge, Iwobi; Chukwueze, Wilson, Kevin; Jiménez
