Chelsea’s pursuit of Andrea Cambiaso is gathering pace, and the deal is starting to widen.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, talks between the clubs have broadened to include striker Nicolas Jackson moving to Juventus. Both sides see the makings of a deal that suits them.
The full-back is the centrepiece. Chelsea view the versatile 26-year-old as an ideal addition to their flanks, and have made him a clear target.
Juventus, short of Champions League football, need sales to balance their books before 30 June.

The numbers remain apart, though. Chelsea have offered around €27-28m, while Juventus value Cambiaso at €35-40m.
The Italians want a healthy capital gain, given he sits at roughly €6m on their books, and are reluctant to sell cheaply.
That gap is where Jackson comes in. The Senegal striker has returned to Chelsea after a loan at Bayern Munich and is considered surplus.
Juventus like his profile, seeing him as the kind of physical finisher Luciano Spalletti wants up front.

The Italian professional footballer who can play as a full-back or wing-back in the Serie A has also been linked to Barcelona.
A structured swap could suit everyone. Including Jackson, valued at around €15m on a paid loan, would help Chelsea meet Cambiaso’s price and see off Barcelona.
The Catalans are also chasing the full-back and have offered Ronald Araujo as a makeweight.
There are knock-on effects to weigh. Signing Jackson would reduce Juventus’ room to keep Dusan Vlahovic, who carries a similar cost.
The Serbia striker may then have to wait until July, with Randal Kolo Muani also in the mix.
Juventus have housekeeping to finish first. Before landing a second striker for Spalletti, they would need to complete the sale of defender Tiago Djalo, among other outgoings.
Gazzetta describes the discussions as open rather than advanced. The relationship between the clubs is strong, but Juventus are holding firm on price as the window heats up.
