Aston Villa in talks to sign two Chelsea attackers
Aston Villa have held talks with Chelsea over the possibility of signing both Nicolas Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho, TEAMtalk reports.
The discussions took place during negotiations for Morgan Rogers, who is set to join Chelsea in a British-record deal. Villa used those talks to sound out the availability of both attackers.
The moves form part of a wider reshape. With Rogers heading to Stamford Bridge, Unai Emery wants to reinvest as Villa prepare for another Champions League campaign. Their forward line is a clear priority.
Jackson is viewed as a major target. The Senegal striker worked under Emery at Villarreal, where the Villa boss handed him his breakthrough, and remains a firm admirer. Negotiations are expected to accelerate once the Rogers deal is officially completed.

The interest in Jackson has been widely reported. The BBC’s Nizaar Kinsella confirmed Villa made an enquiry during the Rogers talks, while Chelsea’s crowded forward line has left the 24-year-old short of a guaranteed role.
Garnacho was discussed in the same round of talks. The Argentina winger has long been admired at Villa Park and re-emerged as an option after Chelsea told his representatives he is not part of Xabi Alonso’s long-term plans.
His situation has grown more fluid, too. Roma submitted a loan offer with an obligation to buy, but the Serie A side are currently prioritising West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville. That has opened the door for Villa.
The player himself would welcome the switch. Sources indicate Garnacho is open to joining Villa should the opportunity develop, with the prospect of regular football under Emery appealing to the former Manchester United man.
Villa’s summer has been shaped by setbacks. Amadou Onana suffered a season-ending injury, while Youri Tielemans joined Manchester United, prompting a swift midfield rebuild.
They have moved quickly to address it. Villa have signed Swiss youngster Johan Manzambi, while talks continue over Wolves’ Joao Gomes and Bayern Munich’s Joao Palhinha.
