Why I can’t commit to one woman – Young Jonn

Famous Nigerian singer, Young Jonn has explained his current relationship dynamics, revealing that he can’t commit to one woman at the moment.

The ‘Dada’ crooner emphasised that he is more interested in “platonic” relationships than a serious one.

Featuring in a recent episode of the ‘Way Up’ podcast hosted by Angela Yee, the 30-year-old singer stated that he is not yet ready to settle down because he is not in a phase where he can give so much of himself to someone.

“Everybody loves love. I mean, love is wonderful. But, I’m not really in that space where I can give so much of me to one person. So, I’m just keeping it platonic with everybody,” he expressed.

“I don’t want a serious relationship right now. Because I feel like I won’t be able to give that person as much as I’m supposed to. So why put them in that situation?”

Young Jonn made the appearance on the podcast after his rumoured romance with Davido’s cousin, Adenike Adeleke, aka Nikos Living, reportedly ended.

The duo sparked relationship speculations after Nikos shared photos and posts of her and Young Jonn in early 2024.

The couple reportedly broke up in August 2025, with signs including unfollowing each other on social media and the deletion of their photos together.
