I didn’t plan to become a content creator — Lola Fany

By Ayo Onikoyi
Content creator and actress Lola Fany has revealed that her journey into content creation was not planned from the beginning, but developed as she explored her interest in acting and experimented with making videos.
In an interview with Potpourri, Fany traced her passion for acting to her childhood, when she would watch her uncle perform with other people.
“I think it all started when I was growing up. I used to watch my uncle act with other people, and that was where my interest in acting started,” she said.
According to her, the experience inspired her to explore acting herself, leading her to study Dramatic Arts at university.
“After school, I started trying to get into acting and also worked with a few content creators,” she said.
Fany explained that working with other content creators exposed her to the possibilities of the profession and prompted her to consider creating her own videos.
“While working with them, I think I started seeing the possibilities. I was like, why don’t I just start creating my own content too? And that’s how I started,” she said.
The actress noted that she did not have a clear plan for her content creation journey at the outset, explaining that she discovered its potential through experimentation.
“It wasn’t really something I had figured out from the beginning. I just started trying things out, and as I continued, I realised I could actually build something with it,” she said.
Fany added that content creation gradually evolved from a fun activity into something she could develop into a more substantial venture.
“It gradually became more than just creating videos for fun,” she said.
